Information about the IBM 704

The followup to the IBM701 was the IBM704, this machine had many firsts. It was the first machine to include floating point in hardware, first machine to include index registers. Announced May 7, 1954 withdrawn April 7, 1960. The first Fortran compiler was also developed on this machine.
